Barn Re-Building Project
Tattersall Farm's barn was destroyed by fire in the 1980's, and never rebuilt. It had been used over the years for a variety of purposes from housing dairy cattle to storing hay, and was an integral part of the Farm's business operation.
It is the intention of the Trustees of the Tattersall Farm to rebuild the Barn in the original site, replicating in design the former barn where it once stood. The barn will be used primarily as a learning and exhibition center to help keep the public informed and enlightened on matters relating to agricultural and horticultural farming, environmental conservation and preservation, and any subject matter relating to the history of farming in the Haverhill area.
The first phase of this project is almost completed with the printing of final draft of a conceptual design plan prepared by Bonin Architects & Associates. The next phase will be the retention of an architect and engineer to prepare the building plans, following of which will be the capital fund raising campaign to help pay for the cost of construction, and then actual construction.
